After Fillings

  • You can eat shortly after your appointment, but avoid chewing while numb
  • Be careful not to bite your lips, cheeks, or tongue
  • Sensitivity to hot and cold is normal for a few days to weeks
  • Avoid hard or sticky foods initially
  • If your bite feels uneven, contact our office for a quick adjustment

Oral Care After Treatment

  • Brush twice daily with a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss daily to keep gums healthy
  • Mild bleeding when starting flossing is normal and should improve
  • Rinse as needed to maintain fresh breath and oral health

When to Contact Our Office

Please call us if you experience:

  • Persistent or worsening pain
  • Sensitivity that does not improve
  • A bite that feels uneven
